One of the most important things for those who like enjoying a hot bathtub is the water temperature. As time passes, the water temperature in your bathtub drops down and requires constantly adding hot water to maintain the temperature, which in turn requires large capacity water boilers, wasting water and electricity.
Made of state-of-the-art AquateX solid surface material, the Aquatica True Ofuro Japanese style bathtub with Tranquility bath heating system is fitted with a re-circulation system (just like the traditional Japanese oidaki) and ozone disinfection system. The Tranquility bathtub heating system was designed to eliminate the hot water adding hassle and maintain the water temperature at a constant 104F /40C (41-45C in Europe and other markets).
The built-in Tranquility heating system is utilizing a low flow/ high-efficiency ultra-quiet pump. Equipped with minimalist control panel, a standard 1.5kW inline water heater (for 110V US/Japanese electrical systems) or 2kW (for 208V-240V electrical systems) with ozone disinfection, Bluetooth audio system, and underwater LED chromotherapy system, the Tranquility system provides the ultimate luxury bathing experience with the hot tub like temperature control functionality.
Intended for limited spaces, the True Ofuro Japanese style bathtub with built-in Tranquility bath heating system takes a very small footprint, is deeper than most Western bathtubs, which not only allows you to more deeply submerge your body but also uses less water. The preinstalled Tranquility bath heating system helps to eliminate water cooling, providing you with a continuous source of hot water and extending the pleasure of your soaking experience.
An electrician will not be required providing there is a 20A dedicated 120V GFCI protected circuit available for the heater. The same system for International markets requires a 16A-dedicated 230V RCD protected circuit.
All three bathtub heating systems share the same True Ofuro Japanese bathtub and are made of the same material – 5th generation AquateX. The difference is in the electrical power requirements, heating element, control electronics, and digital keypad design.
All three bathtub heating systems are equipped with 20-minute safety timer, which will turn the heating off in 20 minutes from the start of use. You will be able to turn the system on again if this is what you wish.

Based on an electrical rate of .10 cents per kilowatt/hour and the bath water temperature starting at 104, electrical operating cost of the Tranquility 1.5kW bath heater would be less than .05 cents for a 30 minute bathing period.
The Tranquility bathtub heater is ultra-quiet. In fact, you cannot hear it working.
You will notice a pleasantly warm water coming out of the hot water outlet located under the seat. When the system starts, you might notice some air bubbles and a very light swirl on the surface.
Press the light key to turn on the lighting. The onboard controller delivers an array of preprogrammed light shows that include color washes; randomly changing colors, color crossfades, and fixed colors from one show to the next. Turn the light button OFF and then ON again in 1 second or less, to go to the next light show.
